about
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the states of Massachusetts, New Jersey, Florida, New York, and District of Columbia (D.C.) with experience supporting clients as they work to improve their mental health. As a psychotherapist, I believe mental health issues stem from past and current experiences that continue to arise in our lives despite best efforts to make changes. Not understanding why something happens often leads to trying to fix a situation which can worsen our problems. I collaborate with clients, helping them make sense of their struggles which increases overall contentment.
After leaving a career in Marketing Management, I began working in the mental health field in a program designed to help people in domestic violence relationships regain independence and confidence as they rebuilt their lives. Through my education, training, and diversity of experiences, I have been able to provide perspectives that resonate with clients. They feel heard and understood, perhaps for the first time, which are crucial aspects of the therapeutic relationship.
